Quantum Formalism - The Story Behind the Scenes of a Fearless Quantum Enthusiast Community
Quantum Formalism 4th anniversary.
As we get close to the fourth anniversary of the Quantum Formalism Community, it is time to share the history behind the scenes of this fearless Quantum Enthusiast Community.
Quantum Formalism is one of these ideas that appears from innovative thinking and a passion for science culture.
Back in 2020, the world found itself in the shadow of an unprecedented pandemic that affected our physical, mental, and professional lives. We had to reinvent ourselves. Time became something to be rebuilt. We had to seek through creativity other ways to reconfigure our routines and redefine Goals.
As people adapted to social distancing and remote work, online learning and digital communities emerged. Quantum computing, with its potential to transform industries and solve complex problems, attracted a significant number of eager learners.
Baldé Bambordé, the head of Maths at the Zaiku Group, a Collaborative Deep-tech R&D venture on a mission to bring together talented people in mathematics and computer science, noticed a common stumbling block among these aspiring quantum computing enthusiasts.
Many learners start with enthusiasm but soon struggle with the advanced math needed for quantum computing. Concepts like group theory and Lie groups are challenging, and popular online courses don't cover them well. This gap between basic and advanced materials leads to frustration.
Seeing the frustration, Bambordé thought of a way to make abstract mathematical concepts accessible to a wider audience.
On September 18, 2020, Bambordé delivered the first lecture on what would become the inaugural course of Quantum Formalism (QF).
Soon what started with "A single concept” became a community-driven Teamwork. Learners from diverse backgrounds—students, professionals, and academics—Came together, united by their passion for quantum computing and their enthusiasm to confront challenging abstract mathematical concepts. QF became an environment of collaboration and mutual support, where learners could share their struggles, insights, and successes.
The inaugural course, entitled "Foundation Module," marked the beginning of a community dedicated to demystifying the abstract mathematical structures that are essential for quantum computing through a series of free, online courses.
QF's mission was clear: to give learners a strong understanding of the math behind quantum computing. Guide them to move beyond basic ideas and engage deeply with the field. By focusing on Abstract Algebra, Functional Analysis, Topology, and Differential Geometry, QF provided rigorous mathematical courses that were missing from many popular courses.
Today, Quantum Formalism stands as a testament to the power of community and the importance of addressing educational gaps in mathematics. Here, the focus is not on the problem but on the solution. What began as a response to a global crisis has grown into a vibrant community driven by creative problem-solving. A dedicated team works behind the scenes, conducting research, preparing lectures, and providing high-quality education. Their ambition is to make advanced quantum computing concepts accessible to all.
Welcome to Quantum Formalism, where a singular idea can create a monumental change!

Fearless, because you never know when a much bigger problem might have a very simple solution,no worries
