Hi Quantum Formalists,
We are soon approaching the fourth anniversary of the Quantum Formalism (QF) community. Thank you for being part of the QF community! Your support inspires us to continue developing mathematical courses that benefit everyone in the community.
Since starting QF in 2020 with Zaiku Group's support, we've exceeded our original goal of making abstract mathematics accessible. Here are some of our achievements over the past two years:
Created six free online courses, totalling approximately 108 hours of lectures.
Supported nine community members in the QF Open Source Hackathon through challenges and microgrants, distributing over $50,000 in cash. Some of these projects will be announced soon.
The Journey Ahead
With the support of Zaiku Group, we’re elevating QF to new heights with an ambitious goal: to expand our reach and make a significant impact on upskilling the next-generation workforce in abstract mathematics for emerging technologies such as Quantum Computing, AI, and Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs). Our commitment is to achieve this sustainably, ensuring benefits for the broader community. To fulfil this mission, QF will be transitioning into a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. Here’s what’s next for QF in the near term:
Specialisation Courses (Paid): These 12-week courses will focus on specific applications of abstract mathematics and provide enhanced hands-on support. The first course, "Abstract Linear Algebra for Machine Learning" will be detailed next week. Early bird fee: $180 (60% discount with code QFBootcamp2024 until July 19): Enroll here. Please note that we only have limited spots for the discount, and so we may remove the promotion before July 19 once the threshold is reached.
Free General Bootcamps: Inspired by the ongoing "Abstract Mathematics 101 Bootcamp" we will continue offering these annually to support new QF members and plan additional free bootcamps.
Community Member Rewards: We will recognise helpful community members with the ‘QF Support Champions’ badge, granting them access to all paid specialisation courses.
QF Cities: This initiative aims to create local hubs for learning mathematics and quantum information science. We are finalising plans with selected local QF Local Evangelists and will announce the first cities soon.
QF Open Source Fellowship: We will offer microgrants to community members working on ambitious open-source projects with the potential to significantly impact the broader quantum ecosystem.
QF Ambassadors Challenge (June 28 - July 29)
To amplify our impact, QF needs to reach more people worldwide. To this end, we are launching a competition for our current QF subscribers to help us grow our Substack community!
Those who bring in the most new subscribers by the end of the competition will be named 'QF Ambassadors' and will receive a special badge. Additionally, there will be special benefits based on your achievements (details below).
