QF Community Microgrants
Hello Quantum Formalists,
Early this year, we did run an invite-only pilot scheme, which resulted in microgrants being awarded to Mahdi Chehimi, Nouhaila Inann & Muhammad Al-Zafar. We are keen to scale the program to help unlock more potential from the QF community through open-source initiatives!
So I am pleased to announce the quantumformalism.com open-source microgrant scheme application is now available to everyone on a rolling basis, i.e. you can apply for a $5k - $10k to support the proof of concept (PoC) development of an open-source idea at any time!
Please be aware that we seek to fund bold ideas, particularly those with substantial mathematical aspects, as we will provide PhD-level mathematicians as mentors. In particular, we are not seeking to support ideas for little incremental improvements of an existing project!
Finally, on the application we highlight specific technical themes and industries as areas aligned with our interests. However, proposals don't necessarily need to touch these, though a project around these themes have the potential for longer-term funding/collaboration opportunities with our company.
How to Apply?
First, fill out the application form below with the basic information, including an abstract. If your proposal looks interesting to us, we'll schedule a 45-minute call to learn more about you and the project. After that, we'll make a quick decision on whether to fund your project or not!
