QF Abstract Mathematics 101 Bootcamp
Embark on a journey to dismantle the mathematical barriers hindering your quantum computing progress.
Hi there Quantum Enthusiasts,
Four years have passed since the inception of the Quantum Formalism (QF) community. Our community has flourished during this time, nearly tripling as quantum enthusiasts flock to engage with our courses. However, with this growth, a noticeable gap has emerged between early members of the QF community, who have amassed advanced mathematical proficiency, and recent joiners, who have yet to explore our extensive course offerings.
To bridge this mathematical schism within the QF community, we are delighted to unveil the 'QF Abstract Mathematics 101 Bootcamp' set to commence annually starting in June 2024. This boot camp aims to empower new members with the foundational knowledge to catch up. The curriculum will draw from our past courses and will be structured as follows:
Module I (May - July)
Set theory
Point-set Topology
Metric topology
Topological manifolds
Abstract Measures
Module II (August - December)
Abstract Algebra
Measure Theory & Functional Analysis
Differential Geometry
Participants will receive certifications upon completing each module. We're also excited to announce that Bambordé Baldé will return to deliver live lectures for the bootcamp, supplemented by instructional videos from Max Arnott. Additionally, we will enlist assistance from proficient community members to serve as tutors across different time zones.
Registration for the bootcamp is now open. If you or someone you know could benefit from this unique opportunity to learn abstract mathematics relevant to quantum computing and other topics such as machine learning, please access the registration form via https://forms.gle/26GczEjTG9LLxUGG7. Spaces for live lectures are limited, so we encourage early registration to secure your place!
We’ll hold a special live Q&A session in April, during which you can learn more about the curriculum and ask questions about the bootcamp.
Wishing you an extraordinary weekend ahead!
Thank you,
Jacqueline Novak
