Hello quantum enthusiasts,
I’m pleased to announce that our first 2021 fireside chat will take place next Friday, February 12 (5 pm UK time). Our guest will be Joaquín Keller, who recently founded exaQ.ai, a startup focused on quantum machine learning.
Abstract: Joaquín is the designer of polyadic QML (arXiv:2007.14044), a quantum machine learning algorithm able to run on NISQ devices. During the fireside chat he will discuss how to train a quantum model for the well known Iris flower dataset. The experiments on IBM Q hardware show accuracy levels of classical ML (see https://dev.exaq.ai/). During this fireside chat, he will discuss how to train a quantum model for the well known Iris flower dataset. The experiments on IBM Q hardware showed accuracy levels equivalent to those of classical ML algorithms (see https://dev.exaq.ai/).

Community Host Wanted: I am looking for a host from the community to conduct the conversation for this fireside chat. It would be great if the person is interested in quantum machine learning. Even better, if the person has played with other QML tools!
To apply please fill out this form https://forms.gle/Dr962c4ydCVVmsUY6. However, I'll give priority to those who attended the live sessions more regularly!
Finally, I’ll be scouting for more guests involved in new open source quantum tools.
With this, I wish you a very happy weekend!
