Hello Quantum Formalists,
The registration for lecture 10 is now up via https://www.crowdcast.io/c/group-theory-lecture-10. We'll move on to a new group theoretic topic after cyclic groups, probably to the Symmetric Group Sym(X) of a set/object X. Also, it's looking like we should be able to wrap up the current crash course by lecture 16! After that, the next crash course on Lie Groups, Lie Algebras & Representations will kick off!
Lecture 09 Replay: The replay of our brief introduction to the application of cyclic groups and DLP in cryptography is now available on the YouTube playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6N_Y7ao_aHuOMgD3T_dzSgM5E2-VhhbT.
Cryptography courses: As a heads up, we're planning a mini-course series on cryptography starting with DLP cryptographic systems, i.e. cryptosystems that rely on the computational hardness of DLP as security assurance. The schedule for the cryptography mini-series will probably clash with one of the quantumformalism.com courses, but you'll be welcome to take both courses!
Discord Community: If you haven't done it already, we encourage you to join our Discord Server https://discord.gg/SPcmcsXMD2. Community members use it to organise group study sessions. Also, the link to the Crowdcast live study sessions will be shared on the channel.
London Geometry and Machine Learning (LOGML): We're delighted to be a sponsor of this year's LOGML Summer School. At Zaiku Group, we firmly believe ML can benefit significantly from exploiting advanced branches of modern Geometry, e.g. Differential Geometry.
Finally, please feel free to share quantumformalism.com with anyone who may benefit from our free abstract mathematical courses. Those equipped with good abstract mathematical machinery are most likely the ones who will be creating the next-gen quantum algorithms that will help unlock the potential of quantum computation!
Happy rest of the week!
